The book of Ecclesiastes has many layers. It describes the lives of people under the sun who are cut off from God. To that extent, life is vain and a grasping for the wind. In addition, when Solomon addresses the reader DIRECTLY, he is not talking about people who have turned away from God and who refuse to submit to God. It is important to see the distinction.
apostasy
The Falling Away Comes First
Paul tells us in 2 Thessalonians that a prophesied falling away from the Truth will occur at approximately the same time when the man of sin will be manifested on the world scene. Are there other Scriptures in the Old and the New Testament revealing to us that a major falling away will occur just prior to Christ’s return? Why will people become so deceived, and what can we do to prevent this from happening to us?
Apostasy in the Church of God
For over ten years, we have warned that another falling away from the truth will occur in the Church of God, but only very few have heeded the warning. We now see that the prophesied renewed apostasy has begun.
God’s Gracious Gifts
According to tradition, on the Day of Pentecost, God pronounced the Ten Commandments to the nation of Israel. According to Acts 2, God gave His Holy Spirit to the New Testament Church on the Day of Pentecost. What is the connection?
There at the Finish
There can be problems, serious problems when a leader dies or is absent,
apostasy can then follow but we always have to hold on to the truth, and to
remain steadfast to the end.
Our trust must be in God – not in man. Scripture clearly reveals that our
arch enemy, Satan the Devil, managed to pull one third of the angels away from
God and he will try and do the same to us. We have to seriously be on our
guard! We have to be there at
the finish!
