Another terrible school shooting, this time in Florida, begs the question as to whether politicians will finally be willing to do something about those senseless murders. The statistics of gun violence in the USA is alarming and abominable. But what can be done to prevent further atrocities to occur? Many “solutions” are proposed, but even though some may help to some extent, none does address the underlying problem and none will bring a lasting substantive solution. However, there is a way, but for now, it is being rejected. And so, we are going to hear of more and more murders by mentally disturbed and demon-possessed perpetrators.

One Nation Under WHAT God?
What God are we worshipping? Is it enough to believe in just any “god”? Does the true God of the Bible accept our worship of pagan idols? Does He want us to worship Him as just one Person, or as three Persons in one Person, or as one Person in three hypostases or modes of being? Who and what IS God? Who was and is Jesus Christ? Are the Jews or the Moslems correct, who worship just one God Being, or orthodox Christians, who worship a Trinity, believing that the Holy Spirit is God? Or are they perhaps ALL wrong?

God gives us His Holy Spirit so that we can change and become different persons. We must engage in this process of change on a continuous basis. This sermon gives several points as to how to do this, to guarantee that we will inherit eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
No More Guns?
The mass murder in Colorado has shown again the incredible acts of senseless and demonic violence of which man is capable. Questions are asked as to whether gun control would have prevented a “mentally disturbed” man to carry out his horrendous crimes; and whether the increase in violence, especially in movies and video games, could be blamed for those actions. Our fascination with guns will not create a better world. What is needed is a change of mind and heart. “It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh” (General Douglas MacArthur in 1951).

“evil” from which God needs to deliver us? This sermon will discuss the three
