The Bible contains many examples of righteous and unrighteous people who were willing to run away from God—at least temporarily in some cases. Why did they do it? Some corrected their mistake; others did not. What can we learn from their example, and why is it so dangerous to walk away from God, even in seemingly little things? Why is it critical to return to Him quickly and promptly when we recognize what we are doing?
